Building Blocks for Business Capital

Building Blocks for Business Capital is an entrepreneurial program focused on business growth, financial management and capital infusion for business owners and artisans. The program consists of training workshops and webinars on the financial aspects of business ownership including; financial management, budgeting, recordkeeping, business credit, risk management, insurance, tax planning and reporting, managing cash flow, financial statement analysis, and securing financing. A mobile funding clinic which provides one-on-one business counseling to review sources of funding, the application processes and business planning. The goal of the Building Blocks for Business Capital program is to promote the growth and accessibility of new capital for businesses in distressed urban and rural communities, and provide business owners with the tools to access capital, sustain and grow their businesses.

    Training Series: QuickBooks Online

    QuickBooks Online is a cloud-based monthly subscription service that allows access to financial and accounting data online and seamlessly integrates with many other applications. This training series will consist of three training webinars to help business owners:

    1- Establish and navigate QuickBooks Online.
    2- Enter transactions and reconcile bank statements.
    3- Run reports.

    However large your business is, having accurate and current financial data is vital for evaluating performance, accessing financial reports, and sharing information with partners, investors, and lenders.

    To participate in this training series, you must have created a QuickBooks Online account. The training series is limited to 15 participants. Any size business is welcome. This online training is not recorded.
